What Is a Pawn Shop?
Many people have the wrong idea about pawn shops and their mission. In short, however, pawn shops exist to give people money—whether that’s through a sale or a loan. Pawn shops typically keep your items on hand as collateral until a loan is paid back. This way, you can decide whether you’d like to sell your item outright or get it back once the loan is paid in full.
Know the Steps to Pawning an Item
Before visiting A-Z Jewelry, it’s a good idea to understand the basic steps to pawning an item. At our shop, we typically follow the following phases:
First things first—a member of our team will assess your item's value. During this time, we might ask for information about where the item came from. We'll also take down your contact information and ask to see a form of ID.
If your item has significant value, we'll make you an offer. We strive to make accurate and fair offers in an effort to give you as much cash as possible at the end of your visit. Keep in mind that not every item will garner an offer.
Unless you've chosen to outright sell your item, you'll be subject to loan repayment. We'll decide on the terms of your loan and how long you have to pay it back.
We Accept All Kinds of Items
If you have potentially valuable items sitting around, we want to evaluate them! Our team is well-versed in assessing a wide variety of items, and we’d be happy to take a look. We can accept all kinds of things, including fine jewelry, electronics, tools, musical instruments, antiques, and so much more. Even if you’re unsure that your item is worth anything, it never hurts to check.
